I kinda wish I had bought another set that were just shy of 3" but these still work great. I read a lot of the reviews so I was a bit confused if these were going to be good or bad. They are good!I put one in the middle of my smaller skillet, with some butter to preheat. Once it was getting warm, I used my brush to slather the sides from the melted butter already in the pan. I then dropped an already cracked egg (in a dish) into the ring and stepped back to watch - no seepage. I let the egg cook for a bit and when it came time to remove the ring, there was only about 1" where it wanted to stick. I just tipped the ring a bit and worked with it and it finally released so that wasn't even an issue. I flipped the egg over to do an over easy and then turned laid it on toast and covered it with toast to make a sandwich. And the cleanup was extremely fast, just a drop of dish soap, wash rag and rinse. Yeah, I can't wait to go to the store after the Thanksgiving and get ham, cheese and English muffins!
