I was skeptical after reading so many reviews about being too small for the eggs. We buy the 5 doz large which are fine as most recipes call for large and they fit perfectly. No cracked eggs when opening the carton. Love not having to go to the garage to get eggs now!Edit: Even putting EB large eggs in these since using we have not had one cracked egg using the large eggs.These took forever to get here but were worth the wait. Very thick plastic. Only draw back I can see might be the hinges which are solid flexible plastic. They might suffer fatigue after a long time. Then again maybe not. As for size I have no idea what the fellow that said they were for smaller egg was talking about. I put jumbos in them with absolutely no problem. The slots are plenty large and deep enough for anything short of an ostrich egg. Like I said..VERY solid. Got 2 to see how they were. Going to order 5 more now. Edit: O.K. I stand corrected. Dropped to 1 stars. I must have grabbed several jumble that were short. After trying several dozen (used half a dozen first time) half the eggs are cracked by the lid. These containers are useless. They have dimples on the lid that dip down instead of up. These crack the eggs. If the dimples curved upward would be o.k. Extra large and large eggs also get cracked. Like said maybe small eggs that are short will work. Look elsewhere.Super cute, but it doesn’t fit all eggs ! My bigger ones cracked. The groves on top are too deep not providing enough room for an egg. If u have small eggs maybe it will work.I measured the space I had in my refrigerator for this and compared it to the information provided in the product description. Unfortunately, when the holders arrived they were too large (length-wise) and did not actually fit.
